About John
John is an actor, documentarian and photographer based in Los Angeles. Married for 17 years to actress Wendy Gazelle, they are the proud parents of a 16 year old competitive figure skater, named Ella.
Ales played 'Rehab' on Denis Leary's comedy series, SEX&DRUGS&ROCK&ROLL for FX Networks. Last year he recurred on Amazon Prime's hit series, BOSCH starring Titus Welliver, as Andrew Holland.
He recently wrapped his turn on the second season of Amazon’s Sneaky Pete, playing Luka Delchev, a Montenegrin money smuggler who’s out for some wild revenge.
As well as navigating the waters of the professional actor, John has been a portrait and reportage photographer for over 20 years.
John takes great pride in being part of the producing team for the acclaimed web series, Hank Azaria's Fatherhood for AOL, where he spent many intimate hours with Hank's family and friends as Director/Producer for the series.
He is a longtime collaborator of Jonathan Sanger’s (and his talented son, David Sanger), and served as Creative Director for Stan Winston School of Character Arts since its inception in 2009. He left the school in 2016 to pursue his passion for acting and the other aforementioned creative projects.
